Box office: ‘Mubarakan’ collection bounced for the second day, ‘Indu Sarkar’ is still in Crisis

Anis Bazmee’s latest release ‘Mubarakan’ has not received much better response at the box office. The film, released on July 28, has collected only 12.63 crores in two days.

Mubarakan was more than expected from the best collections, there are many reasons behind this. The film is directed by Anees Bazmi, who has been giving a lot of successful films for the past. The pair of Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor have come together for the first time. This was well publicized during the promotion of the film. Most Critics have also given good reviews to ‘Mubarakan’. So, getting only 5.25 crore on the first day, it seems that it does not seem that the uncle’s nephew has reached the audience.

On the second day i.e. on the first Saturday, collections rose by about 40 percent and reached 7.38 crore. If this is the speed of the movie, its collection in the opening weekend could not possibly cross the 25 million mark. Let’s say that the opening weekend collection of Arjun’s last film ‘Half Girlfriend’ was about 32 crores.

If Anish Basmi speaks about his previous film, Welcom Baik, which took the opening of around 14 crores, while about 51 crores was done in the opening weekend. In view of these figures, the opening of Mubarakan is being considered light. Illyana Dikruz and Athiya Shetty played Female Lead Roles in the film. This is the second movie of Athiya.

The condition of ‘Indu Sarkar’, released with it, is quite crispy. The film directed by Madhur Bhandarkar has collected around 1.25 crores the second day, in which the collection of two days has been approximately 2.45 crores.
