It is estimated that about 30 to 35 percent of the total business is in Chinese business, though it has a share of up to 50 percent.

After capturing 50 per cent of the market, it started forming the brand. Local brands such as Oppo, Vivo, Geoni, Life, Micromax have established themselves. As a result, the share of gray segment decreased. In the opinion of the experts, it still retains 30 to 35 percent.

China threatens rural areas

The annual size of Bihar’s mobile phone market is about Rs. 2400 crores. Janakar Rajan Arya says that it has the possession of Chinese sets on the market of about 850 crore rupees. It includes branded as well as non-branded products. Non-branded sets were first sold in cities too, but now they have been reduced to rural areas.

Special reason for demand and sale

Despite the option in branded segment, sales of non-branded Chinese sets are still in the fastest pace. Actually, Chinese smart phones are available from 2000 to 4000 rupees. There is no shortage of features in these sets. The features that are available in a branded set of 8 to 10 thousand will be available in these cheap sets, although they are not very durable.
