The first corridor of 32 km long Patna Metro will be 16.94 km from Danapur to Mithapur and the second corridor will be 14.45 kilometres from Patna junction to New ISBT. The DPR of the Patna Metro Project has already been approved. City Development and Housing Minister Suresh Sharma said on Saturday that funds for the much anticipated Patna Metro have been passed.
It is worth mentioning that two corridors will be built under Patna Metro. The first corridor will be from Mithapur to Danapur, 16.94 kilometres, and the second corridor will be 14.45 kilometres from Patna junction to New ISBT. Patna junction will be an interchange station, where people will be able to take the Metro for another corridor after landing from a corridor. At the junction, one station will be underground and the other will be elevated.
The first corridor (East-West Corridor) – This route will have metro stations like Danapur, Rupaspur, Saguna Mod, Raja Bazar, Golf Club, Chidiyakhana, Rukunpura, Vikas Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan, Junction, Mithapur Bus Stand etc. The length of the East-West corridor will be 16.94 km. There will be 5.49 km corridor elevated and 11.21 km corridor underground. The number of stations in this corridor will be 12.

Second Corridor (North-South Corridor) – This route will include Metro stations like Patna Junction, Akashwani, Gandhi Maidan, PMCH, PU, Premchandra Rangsham, Rajendra Nagar Terminal, NMCH, Kumbhar, Gandhi Seetu Jiromail, ISBT etc. Length of the North-South corridor is 14.45 km. It will have 9.90 km elevated and 5.55 km corridor underground. The number of stations in this corridor will be 12.
