As we all know the pollution level of patna has reached a level where we need some serious steps to take control on it. PMC (Patna Municipal Corporation) has been lots of work in Patna in recent time like painting on Streets walls. PMc also provided door to door garbage collection vehicle. They have also installed modular toilets across the city.
To reduce pollution and encourage eco-friendly lifestyle, citizens of Patna will soon get the facility of renting cycles at Rs 1-2 per hour. At 14 places around Patna, hi-tech cycle stands will be established for this purpose. Patna Municipal Corporation has approved a proposal by SGL Line Innovation Ltd. which will complete this project under corporate social responsibility.
To avail this service, the company will launch a mobile app through which people can take membership which will be of two types, referral and direct. Each stand will have 10 cycles and the cycles will get unlocked by scanning the smart code through the app. In the first phase, it is supposed to be almost 150 cycles to introduce all over Patna. Sources said the digital locks and separate bicycle stands will be imported from Taiwan and China. The digital locks will ensure the security and register the total time used by the renter.
The stands will be made in the Gandhi Maidan area, Eco Park, Bihar Museum, Patna Zoo, Urja Stadium, Green Park Officer Flats, S.K. Puri Children’s Park and Bailey Road.
This service will not only encourage non-motorized transportation to reduce pollution but it will also encourage the people to adopt a healthier lifestyle. This service will start in a month’s time.
This Step of PMC will also help to deal with the traffic jams and it will ensure a healthy lifestyle of Citizens.
