Soon people of Japan will be able to enjoy India’s famous Mithila painting while traveling in trains. Seeing this beautiful painting on Indian Railways, the Japanese government has requested the Indian government to make mithila painting on their trains 7k. At the same time, the Indian government has decided to send a special team of artists to Japan.
Indian Railways has decorated 22 coaches of Bihar Sampark Kranti Express, which runs from Delhi to Darbhanga. The UNO has also appreciated this initiative of Indian Railways. At the same time, the Japanese government has also approached Indian Railways to make such paintings on Japan’s trains. It took almost 2.5 months to decorate the all coaches and 50 artists were working in this initiative.
The walls of Madhubani railway station are also decorated with mithila painting. Right now, the railway is working on plans to decorate the walls of Samastipur and Muzaffarpur railway stations with such paintings. Permission has been sought from the Railway Board to decorate these two stations with Madhubani painting. At the same time, several other railway stations, including New Delhi, have also been decorated with paintings by the Railways.
